2010 In Review: Some Favourite Food Blogs

This was the hardest list for me to compile.  Trying to decide which food blogs I like best is like trying to decide which of my children I love the most; an utterly impossible task.  So, instead of declaring any of these fabulous sites my favourite, I'm just bestowing them with the title of "most read".  There are at least thirty others that pop onto my screen as frequently as I can allow, but the ten listed here are the ones I turn to for inspiration, laughter and so much more. 

I'm pleased to say that I now know someone from the list below, have exchanged emails with a few others, and look forward to getting better acquainted with the remainder of the folks on the list - maybe even sometime in this coming year. 

Simple Bites: Written by Aimee and her group of contributors this is an excellent resource for recipes and cooking tips.

Dinner With Julie: Julie Van Rosendaal is the voice behind this fun read.  I've made more recipes from this blog then any others I think.

Dinner a Love Story: Jenny, the author, is a former editor at Cookie magazine. This is her take on family dinner and why they're so important.

101 Cookbooks: When I need a dose of healthy and delicious, I always head here first.  Natural cooking is Heidi's specialty and her photography is stunning.

Smitten Kitchen: One of the most well known blogs, Deb makes everything look and taste amazing.

Tea & Cookies: Wonderful storytelling by Tara, and almost always an equally interesting recipe.

The Kitchn: If you love food and cooking and being in the kitchen you'll love this site.

Orangette: I love Molly.  And her stories.  And her recipes.  And her book.

Backseat Gourmet: Cheryl lives in Calgary with a super cute family.  She always has something interesting to write about.

Simply Recipes: An extensive collection of some fantastic recipes.
