The latest edition of Party Savvy is up over at Savvy Mom, and this month we're planning the ultimate splash party.
My kids don't have summer birthdays, but when they saw me working on this party theme they were trying to devise a way of having a water party this summer anyway.
I think it sounds like fun and with lunch served in sandpails, accompanied by jello sailboats and chocolate banana popsicles it's an easy way to entertain the kids.

I love this party theme idea and that cake is so creative. Those little fruit quarter sailboats are the cutest!

This is the cutest version of a swimming pool cake I've ever seen. I like the way it was design. Thank you for sharing.

You can also bake this, even if there is no occasion to celebrate. You can go out to the beach with the family. And the kids would enjoy it even more if you pattern it with their favorite drinks, or if you use different colors and designs.

Planning for a splash party might be risky especially if it is a kid's party. Just a friendly advice, never leave the kids unattended in the pool area or better yet hire a lifeguard to make sure mishap won't happen.
