I haven't done a meal planning Monday post for a while. It's not that I haven't planned our meals, because I have, it's just that I've been working on some meal plans that I will be posting in other spots in the coming weeks/months and I didn't want to duplicate my efforts.
But planning our dinners each week, carefully and mindfully, will be the key to eating well over the course of the next four weeks which are fraught with holiday events, work, hockey, school, Christmas concerts, birthdays, cookie exchanges etc. If we don't make sure we eat well during the week, we may as well write off the entire month of December, know what I mean?
I'm not going to pressure myself to stick to this plan. Things do come up and plans get changed, but with shopping time at a premium these days, I don't want to be running to the grocery store any more often than necessary, and plotting out our meals will ensure that doesn't happen.
Here's what I'm cooking up this week? What meals are making an appearance in your home?
Monday: Green lentil soup and grilled cheese sandwiches
Tuesday: Crispy 5-spice pork chops, green beans, salad
Wednesday: Chessy pasta with sqaush and bacon, broccoli (photo above, recipe to come)
Thursday: White chicken chili with cornbread
Friday: Homemade pizza Fridays (cheese for the kids, mixed mushroom for Rob and I)

Hi Jan, love the weekly menu, just wish i could organize my meals better as I tend to give in to requests from my son for dinner time meals.
Making an appearance on our table lately: Irish stew , only with beef instead of mutton or lamb. also poulet a la Normande , my husbands favorite.(he's French)
