This summer, the boys and I spent a day traipsing the halls of Toronto's art gallery, in order to take in the new Picasso exhibit. It was an inspiring display of some of his most famous pieces, and I used Design Mom's tip for making museums fun for kids: purchase a postcard in the gift shop at the beginning of your visit, and have your children find the image on their card as you're walking through looking at the pieces. An artistic treasure hunt, if you will. It was so fun, and made the outing much more exciting, I'm sure.
This month's edition of Party Savvy published this morning, and it's all about throwing an art party for your little ones. I love this theme for so many reasons: it's creative, gender neutral and works just as well for those who are two, as it does for those who are twelve.
