Happy long weekend!
It's Family Day here this weekend so no school or work for most of us on Monday. It's the first relaxing weekend we've had since Christmas and I intent to enjoy it fully. There are books and magazine to read, a date night in the works, and a lunch meeting with one of favourite cooks in the world on Monday. See you next week!
These peanut butter cookies are going on my to-make list this weekend.
Why didn't I think of this? You know I'll be trying my hand at something similar soon.
My new favourite breakfast? Green smoothies.
My one pot mac and cheese was a huge hit with Julie's readers this week.
Feeding greens to a picky eater.
Here are 9 secrets to tasting chocolate (I loved this post).
Totally not food related, but I devoured this book this week. By the end of Chapter 24 I was sobbing like a baby and had to put the book away for a few hours.
Dashboard dinners are now a part of our Wednesday nights as Jackson and I drive nearly an hour (at rush hour) to get to an archery lesson. In the photo above he's eating homemade pizza pastries, which were a smashing success with the kids. Recipe to come soon.

Archery! We tried that on vacation and The Monster loved it. Sadly, none of the lanes will let a kid her age go out.

I know! I found one place almost an hour away and he does an hour-long lesson weekly for five weeks and then they switch to fencing. After that they choose which path to follow and get certified. The facility is called The Centre for Classic Sport, which I love!
