Tuna melts are one of my favorites! I love the idea of using grated onion. I'll have to try it next time. I like making my tuna with sundried tomatoes, red onion, and kalamata olives. I use a bit of the sundried tomato oil instead of mayo... with feta sprinkled on top and broiled a bit it is a wonderful treat. (Plus, if you just broil it a bit then the tuna isn't super-hot!) My little guy likes his prepared like a grilled cheese sandwich with just a bit of tuna and a lot of cheddar cheese.


I love tuna, but never made a tuna melt. Go figure:) Thanks for posting. Sounds tasty
